The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has decided to hold a special training camp from November 13 for the Sri Lankan cricket team’s tour of South Africa in late December.
The 22-member training squad for the tour will take part in the 10-day training camp. Pool training for corona virus status will be conducted in a ‘bio-secure bubble’.
As soon as the training camp is over, all the players participating in the Lanka Premier League will leave for Hambantota directly and the rest will return home on November 22.
Sri Lanka will leave for South Africa on December 17 for a two-match Test tour and will take part in the first three-day training match on December 20 in Benoni with South African cricket invite XI.
The first Test between the two sides will be played on December 26 at Boxing Day at the Super Sport Park in Century, while the second will be played on January 3 at the Wonders Stadium in Johannesburg.
