South Africa Will Tour Pakistn In January Wasim Khan

Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) CEO Wasim Khan has confirmed that the South African cricket team will visit Pakistan in January 2021, ARY News reported.

Pakistan which was also scheduled to tour South Africa in October but the tour was postponed due to COVID-19.

“South Africa will tour Pakistan in January 2021 and we are hoping to reciprocate by touring South Africa for a limited-overs series in March,” Wasim Khan said.

“Hopefully, more cricket teams will come to the country. The visit of Zimbabwe to Pakistan is welcome,” he added.

He also announced that Pakistan Shaheens will also visit New Zealand along with Pakistan senior team.

“In order to groom our young and upcoming players, the Pakistan Shaheens team will travel to New Zealand along with the national team and will play two four-day matches and five T20 matches,” he maintained.

Regarding club cricket, Wasim Khan said that is very important for the PCB and the board will register all its clubs soon.

“The registration of cricket associations was affected due to COVID-19, so far two cricket associations have been registered and others will be registered too. Six associations have been included in the new law, our associations will run club cricket, club cricket is very important for PCB, so all clubs will be registered,” he maintained.

Regarding the meeting with head coach Misbah-ul-Haq and Test skipper Azhar Ali, Wasim said that he will meet them next week.
